A small tip to start - If you don't know which medium to grow in - forget about hydro coconut and similar. Start in a substrate. It's the most natural method and forgiving of mistakes; once you try and "tune" things in soil and discover its limits, move on to another medium. At that point you will know much better what you want and what you expect from the growing method.
