Alien Hydroponics Rain 28Pot

The original Rain hydroponic system by Alien Hydroponics mimics rain with its watering style. By replicating as closely as possible the irrigation system we know from nature, it achieves great results.

When watering, the nutrient solution flows through Rain's perforated lid so it reaches the plants in droplets. This simulates rainfall and prevents the deposition of salts, which are washed away. Even watering ensures that nutrients reach all roots equally and the substrate dries out at the same rate. All the solution slowly drips into the substrate after watering, so there is no loss. Before the nutrient solution reaches the plants, it is filtered so that it is free of impurities.

Any substrate is suitable for the system - it can handle conventional soil, coconut or inert media such as expanded clay. The system can be set up as a RTW (run-to-waste: the used solution is drained to waste) or as a recirculation system (the used solution is returned to the tank), so you can grow in any style and method.

The watering is controlled by the Rain Brain system, which controls both the irrigation and the drain pump. You can set the watering to last from 15 seconds to 5 minutes, at intervals from 30 minutes to 7 days.

You will need a tank with a capacity of at least 500L for the Rain System. FlexiTank. In our range you will also find the original Alien Hydroponics tank.

The Alien Hydroponics Rain 28Pot has twenty-eight pots and is available in PRO Silver and Black. You can also choose from two sizes of pots, both available in 15L and 30L sizes.

How do the PRO Silver and Black systems differ from each other?

Compared to the basic advantages, the Pro Silver system has something extra:

• DualFlow 50mm couplings - the larger diameter means a freer flow of nutrient solution, they are also adapted for better drainage.
• Silver 50mm hose - the connecting hose is also thicker and reflects heat, so the solution does not heat up in it
• Silver polymer containers and lids - reflects heat, no heating
• Copper-coated drain - roots do not grow into the irrigation system
