HERCULES pots are very atypical pots adapted for excellent root development. Thanks to the reinforced top, the pots are very easy to work with and can be stored or moved without any problems and there is no risk of twisting if the optimum amount of soil is maintained.

Root growth is one of the main reasons for pot degradation and loss of elasticity. To prevent these disturbances, pots are equipped with uneven bottoms and protrusions on the inside to spread the root forces.

Excess water is the main cause of root rot and the creation of an unfavourable soil environment. By using drainage holes around the perimeter, this problem is completely eliminated. At the same time, the drainage of excess water is facilitated by the unique design of the bottom of the pot.

The ideal water supply is a challenge due to the specific needs of different plant species and the many types of pots and irrigation systems available on the market. However, proper irrigation is also a guarantee of health and quality, which is why HERCULES pots are made with a perforated design to keep the aeration within the ideal range to promote root growth. The root system is allowed to expand into the final stages of the plant's life cycle, but at the same time its growth out of the pot is restricted. The holes are positioned to ensure uniform radial root growth and to prevent twisting and curling, which could complicate transplanting and prevent the plant from receiving nutrients evenly.

Of course, it is essential to use a substrate that itself allows oxygen to penetrate to the roots - coir is ideal.
