The dimmable digital ballast VDL Silver 600w can control MH and HPS lamps. The new and improved digital ballast by VDL is compatible with 250, 400 and 600 W HPS and MH lamps.

The VDL ballast has a new and better design and features, like a higher power factor, better efficiency of energy transformation, accelerated heat dissipation and a "Soft Start" feature to improve lamp life. The ballast doesn't contain a ventilator, so it's completely silent.

The ballast has a 2m long power cable and an IEC connector at the reflector output. If necessary, we recommend buying an additional cable for the reflector.

The electronic ballast has the function of output power adjustment, which brings a number of advantages. During the vegetative phase phase you can use a lower output and save electricity. The ballast also offers a "Boost" function, which puts up to 10% more power (660W) into the lamp than the basic setting of 600W. We recommend using this option during the late flowering phase when plants can use maximum light for higher production.

The ballast has 4 different outputs: 250W, 400W, 600W and Boost (660W).

In comparison to the older magnetic ballasts, a digital ballast is much safer, doesn't overheat, runs quietly and is much more efficient when it comes to power consumption.
