Product detailed description
The Milwaukee CD611 is an EC meter which is affordable, easy to use and provides quick and accurate results. It's easy to recalibrate. The CD611 is designed primarily for testing water conductivity.
Measuring EC (electric conductivity) is the simplest way to check the amount of salt and dissolved solids (TDS - total dissolved solids) in water. Milwaukee is a reputable brand which manufactures pocket meters for several different purposes. All their EC/TDS meters automatically compensate for water temperature.
The package includes a protective cover, screwdriver, battery and user manual.
All readings are in mS/cm. To convert them to µS/cm (µmho/cm), multiply the displayed value by 100.
The mS/cm reading can be approximately converted to TDS (ppm), as shown in the examples below.
2.00 mS/cm = 2000 uS/cm = 1000 ppm on .50 factor scale
2.00 mS/cm = 2000 uS/cm = 1400 ppm on the 442 scale or .70 factor scale
